No New Posts 1ST CLASS LOUNGE

The first class lounge is where all first class passengers arrive coming down the grand staircase. Decorated with oak panelling and gilded balustrades, the wide sweeping steps and landings of the Grand Staircase rises majestically through six decks, and is crowned by a magnificent glass dome.

No New Posts 1ST CLASS SMOKING ROOM

Located on B-deck above the second class library, the Smoking Room is panelled in carved oak. Its oak furniture, upholstered in dark green Moroccan leather, added to its masculine air. The floor is laid with linoleum tiles, the very latest in 1912 floor covering. Only men are allowed in.

No New Posts THE PALM COURT

Like the Veranda the Palm Court remains on the opposite starboard side of the ship. These rooms are done up in a Mediterranean style. They feature large arch windows that stretched from top to bottom, which overlooks the promenade. The wicker furniture gives such an informal look compared to the rest of the interiors of the ship that passengers are to be somewhat relieved when entering the light airy cafes.

No New Posts THE VERANDA CAFE

Located just off the Perisian Cafe near the stern, the Veranda Cafe has a bit more room and is more airy than the Perisian but the Perisian was a little bit more beautiful. Like the Perisian, there is real ivy growing up the walls, the bronze windows nearly 7 feet tall. Also, there are real palm trees just like The Palm Court.

No New Posts THE GRAND STAIRCASE

With 60 feet from the lower landing to the glass skyline above, the grand staircase is just that. Grand. This is where the first class passengers can mingle before dinner or passing through to get to their staterooms.
