Phillip James Foley, is the new captain of the R.M.S Titanic, proceeding the retirement of Captain Edward John Smith R.D. R.N.R. after being the Captain of the S.S Majestic since 1907. His father, William Foley was also one of the following Captains for the White Star Line though he retired shortly after the R.M.S Olympic put the Teutonic in the docks. At the age of 27, Phillip is one of the few younger officer's of his time though he isn't the only one. With his charming manners, respective ways and down to business personality, this guy is going to need some plotting. I had a specific idea, though many of the fellow first class women flirt with him and often bid for his attention (being high in ranks and first class himself), I see him falling in love with maybe a maid or third class woman. Other plot ideas as well, he's going to need his fellow officers and a few friends. Ideas, ideas!

I can definitely see something become of these two, especially if you had plans on him falling for a third class woman. I had the same idea for Clara, except obviously with her falling for someone in first class. I can see the two of them meeting through some sort of chance encounter, and perhaps hitting it off and starting as friends. Clara is recently widowed, and she would find him incredibly attractive, but she would be very shy and withdrawn. Maybe Philip can help bring her liveliness back out again, and in a way help her heal, while the two of them begin having stronger feelings as well?
I'm pretty much open for anything, so feel free to completely scrap or change anything I have said. But, these two need to have some sort of interaction or another, in my opinion. <3 |

That sounds like a plan! Maybe they could meet sometime before boarding the ship, being in town of each other and all. Get a few first glances in. Maybe even help her up if one of the officer's tripped her causing her to drop her things? It would be mostly silent then but afterwards on the ship they could hit it off? Start seeing each other more. Phillip is the type of man that he's been working all his life to prove himself worthy and needs some loving! They can help each other exactly. |
